
International Exchange Students
Courses in English
Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences (RAMK) offers a wide variety of courses in English because of the degree and specialisation programs offered in English. As an incoming international exchange student you are welcome to attend any of the courses offered in the list available in the semester section.
All credit units are according to European Credit Transfer System ECTS. 60 credit units represent the student work load of an academic year of study, and normally 30 credit units the work load of one semester.

Insurance
Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences does not offer insurance for its international exchange students or trainees. Therefore the incoming students must have their own insurance and deliver a proof of their insurance policy prior to their arrival in Rovaniemi Uiversity of Applied Sciences.
Students of the European Union must have BOTH of the following:
- Personal travel and health insurance that is valid during the stay in RAMK, Rovaniemi, Finland. The insurance must cover at least illness and repatriation. The student must deliver a proof of the insurance policy in English language to the RAMK International Relations Office prior to arrival. AND
- The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). "You should not travel to another Member State of the European Economic Area or Switzerland without your European health insurance card. During your stay, the EHIC will facilitate access to health care, which will be provided in accordance with the legislation of the host State." Please click here for further information of the European Health Insurance Card. The student must deliver a copy of the EHIC to the RAMK International Relations Office prior to arrival.
Students of the non-EU countries must deliver the following:
